Hypnosis For Medical Procedures





It is well documented that the use of hypnosis can significantly accelerate recovery time and reduce the need for pain medication after surgery. In addition, hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool to help ease the worry and anxiety that often precedes a medical procedure.


When working with a client who is preparing for surgery or any type of medical procedure, I create three custom recordings designed for the specific procedure, the needs and concerns of the individual client and the desired outcome. Using positive imagery and positive suggestions, we enlist the help of the subconscious mind and the body's inner healing intelligence to facilitate a succesful outcome.


Optimally we also do a few hypnotherapy sessions in advance of the procedure to process any emotions regarding the condition and the upcoming procedure and one or more following the procedure to enhance the results.



The first CD or Mp3 is used pre-op for a few weeks if possible, to ease worry and anxiety, to prepare the patient's mental attitude and to program for the desired outcome.



The second CD or Mp3 is used the day of and if possible during the procedure to help with relaxation and to drown out any negative or limiting statements and to program for a positive experience.

The subconscious mind is always listening.



The third CD or Mp3 is used at home post-op during recovery to accelerate healing, alleviate pain, and help promote the desired outcome.
